We are seeking a Psychotherapist to join our practice!

This is a flexible independent contractor role within a private practice that values high-quality, thoughtful, evidence-based psychotherapy.

Change Therapy is looking for a therapist who uses psychodynamic therapy as their primary theoretical framework while integrating other evidence-based modalities and techniques as appropriate. We are a collaborative practice, focused on providing personalized care in a supportive and welcoming environment. We value ongoing learning and professional growth, and strive to create a practice where therapists can develop their skills while doing meaningful work with their clients. Our team brings a range of clinical perspectives and areas of expertise, allowing us to support clients with diverse needs and concerns.

We’re especially interested in therapists who have developed a distinct area of clinical expertise. Relevant specialties might include:

  • Mood disorders

  • ADHD

  • Neurodivergence

  • Chronic pain or chronic illness

  • Complex trauma

  • Complex grief and traumatic loss

  • Or any other areas that would complement our existing clinical offerings

We’re looking for someone who brings strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and a thoughtful approach to case conceptualization and treatment. We value clinicians who approach their work with a learner’s mentality—remaining curious, open to feedback, and committed to continually developing their clinical skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a related mental health field

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)

  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing psychotherapy; additional experience in the mental health field is considered an asset

  • Experience providing both virtual and in-person psychotherapy

  • Strong interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy and the ability to integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches as appropriate

  • Ability to work with diverse populations using an inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach

  • Commitment to ongoing training, supervision, and professional development

  • Access to ongoing clinical supervision as required

  • Adherence to relevant professional codes of ethics, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Ability to provide psychotherapy in another language would be an asset
